Tankless Water Heaters

Tankless Water heaters

A tankless water heaters uses 30 to 50 percent less energy than units with tanks, saving a typical family about $100 or more per year, depending on water usage. Tankless units (also called “on demand” units) heat water only when you turn on the faucet. They usually operate on natural gas or propane.

How Do Tankless Water Heaters Work

Tankless water heaters heat water directly without the use of a storage tank. When a hot water tap is turned on, cold water travels through a pipe into the unit. Either a gas burner or an electric element heats the water. As a result, tankless water heaters deliver a constant supply of hot water. You don't need to wait for a storage tank to fill up with enough hot water.

Gas-fired tankless water heaters produce higher flow rates than electric ones. Sometimes, however, even the largest, gas-fired model cannot supply enough hot water for simultaneous, multiple uses in large households. For example, taking a shower and running the dishwasher at the same time can stretch a tankless water heater to its limit. To overcome this problem, you can install two or more tankless water heaters, connected in parallel for simultaneous demands of hot water. You can also install separate tankless water heaters for appliances -- such as a clothes washer or dishwater -- that use a lot of hot water in your home.

Smart Home Products

With products to help you save energy, keep your family safe, and help you stay connected to what’s important, Blue Tiger Heating & AC will help you have a smarter home.

Thermostats

If you want to remotely control the temperature and HVAC system in your home, save money with more efficient heating/cooling, or just want to engage in the longstanding thermostat war with your significant other from anywhere in the world, smart thermostats are for you.

Video Doorbell

Smart doorbell cameras work in tandem with your smartphone, so you can see who's knocking at the door and avoid answering it for unexpected visitors. But, in addition to video, they also offer a slew of other handy features to keep your home protected, including two-way talk, infrared lighting (for when it's dark out) and motion detection.

WiFi cameras

It didn’t take smart security cameras long to become a firm fixture of the smart home. Whether it's for security, or just a way to check what's going on at home, a pet camera, or as a supercharged smart baby monitor, Wi-Fi home cameras are a versatile option.

Smart door locks

Keys are so 20th century. A connected lock offers both security and flexibility, letting you control access to your home with your phone. The deadbolt installed on your front door right now likely serves its purpose. It locks, it unlocks -- and it does what it can to keep out any unwanted guests. That's probably enough.

Smart locks won't necessarily make your home any safer, but they will allow for more control -- so that you can lock and unlock your door remotely (whether you're home or away) and even extend "digital keys" to friends, family, caregivers and anyone else you regularly admit into your home.
